YOGA RETREATS: Croatia 🇭🇷 2026🌴 Senegal 🇸🇳 April 🏝️ Mallorca 2026 🇪🇸 Yoga & meditation teacher/Martial Arts Yoga Online, @equinox NYC.

January theme: Freedom through focus. Kaivalya thr January theme: Freedom through focus. Kaivalya through presence.

There’s something powerful about concentrated effort (dharana) and then allowing that effort to soften into flow (dhyana). This is where freedom lives. Not in forcing, but in showing up fully and letting the moment carry you.

These clips were filmed at @chelseapiersbrooklyn , thanks to my wonderful BJJ friend @nat.lovlina , who invited me to try a really fun boxing class there.

We had an amazing time together circulating strong and positive energy! Then before heading to the sauna and steam room, I couldn’t resist playing on the rope and rings.

Climbing. Hanging upside down. Core engaged. Breath steady.

Strong effort followed by ease.
What made this moment especially meaningful was simply being able to move. After last year’s back injury and fibroid surgery, there was a long stretch where movement felt limited and uncertain.

We’ve all been there before in someway or another whether it’s through an illness, injury or big life change. That kind of experience changes your relationship to your body and deepens gratitude for what’s possible.

For January, I’m reflecting on and sitting with this:

Where can focused effort create more freedom in life?

And where is there room to soften, trust, and let things flow?

Much peace, love & gratitude always ☮️❤️🙏🏼

Gentle Reset: Yoga & Mobility for Herniated Disc Healing

This video was born out of one of the most humbling, and ultimately miraculous, chapters of my life.

Last year, I was navigating intense back pain from a herniated disc. There were moments I truly wondered if I would ever move freely again or feel strong and at home in my body. I had to let go of pushing through and learn how to listen, deeply, to my breath, my nervous system, and the quiet wisdom of my body.

This Gentle Reset sequence emerged during that time. What started as subtle, careful movements became the foundation of my healing.

Today, I share this with profound gratitude: I have healed. I am not only pain-free, but stronger than ever, able to move and challenge my body in ways I once feared might be gone forever.

Healing is never linear. There were ups and downs, pauses, and recalibrations. I worked closely with medical professionals and sought support along the way, and that mattered deeply.

Grateful for the science and teachers who guided me, including @dr.stuart_mcgill and his book Back Mechanic, insights from guests on the @hubermanlab , and my dear friend and mentor @anitagoa, who generously shares her own recovery resources on YouTube.

Filmed at @1hotel.bklynbridge when there teaching for @premabrooklyn . It’s a place that mirrors the calm and grounding of this practice.

Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about energy. Not Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about energy. Not just how we spend it, but how we restore it.

It’s what the Bhagavad Gita teaches us about compassion.

What neuroscience tells us about mitochondria.

What healing from injury has taught me about listening to my body.

And what inward reflection keeps reminding me over and over:

✨ Sustainable energy doesn’t come from doing more. It comes from doing with more awareness, more love, more care, and clearer intention.

As this year winds down, I keep asking:
How do I maintain a strong spine and soft and open heart?

How do I keep showing up when the world feels uncertain?

How do I root myself when I feel untethered?

2025 brought me to my knees and then lifted me back up.

💫 Healing from a fibroid without a hysterectomy or myomectomy.
💫 Recovering fully from a herniated disc after months of pain through disciplined healing, strengthening and rest.
💫 Being told I’d never train martial arts again… and returning stronger than ever in mind, body & spirit.
💫 A year of surrender, patience, and choosing to show up anyway.

And also:
✨ Santosha, finding contentment beneath perfection.
✨ Svādhyāy, self-study through breath, movement, and reflection.
✨ Strength I didn’t know I had… and the grace to rest as much as necessary when I needed it.

This isn’t a “new year, new you” moment.
It’s a remembering and reconnection.

That energy is a rhythm.

That even our mitochondria need deep rest.

That contraction is always followed by release.

Just like in birth. Just like in healing. Just like in life.

I wrote a letter to close the year, part reflection, part blessing, part journal entry from a snowy day when resistance turned into radiance.

🕊️ If you need a sign to begin again, this is it.

💌 DM me or visit the link in my bio to read the full letter and join me on retreat in 2026 (Catskills, Senegal & Croatia now open with early discounts).

And as we transition into a new year, I wish you a happy, healthy & meaningful New Year full of blessings support, joy peace & love.

May you trust your timing.
May you rest when you need to, and rise when you’re ready!☮️❤️🙏🏼🧿✨

HONESTY ALERT: I didn’t want to do this. Not the HONESTY ALERT: I didn’t want to do this.

Not the video. Not the ice bath.
Not the ritual I practiced for years, then let go of, and just weeks ago, felt completely out of reach.

But when something matters, I feel it.
And in my mind, I say:

“Do it anyway.”

So I did.

One month later, I’ve brought cold plunges and contrast showers back (+lymphatic massage) into my (already full) morning routine, and it’s been one of the most grounding, empowering rituals of this season.

It’s reminded me that I can be a source of strength and light for myself so I can show up more fully for the people I love, my community, and this aching world.

🕯️ Hanukkah. Christmas. Solstice. Kwanzaa.

This season invites us to ask: What does it really mean to be a light in dark times?
Because the truth is:

There is so much pain in the world right now: heartbreak, violence, injustice, grief, uncertainty.

And healing doesn’t mean tuning out. It means tuning in with courage, compassion, and honesty.

It means tending to our nervous systems so we can meet life with clarity and care.
It means choosing presence over perfection. Peace over performance.
Rituals that restore us so we can keep showing up.

💌 I just sent out a newsletter sharing what’s been helping me stay rooted
after a year of deep healing from fibroid surgery and a herniated disc.

I write about the cold/hot ritual, the science of visualization
(thank you Shakto Gawain + @hubermanlab), my favorite women’s health resources,
and how I’m redefining balance through Svādhyāya (self-study).

There’s also a peek into life on retreat (Croatia & Senegal 2026 ✨), and a loving reminder:

✨ Your balance won’t look like anyone else’s. That’s your wisdom. That’s your light.

Not on my list yet? DM me for the newsletter or retreat info (1 room left for Senegal + $300 off Croatia until Jan 1).

May you feel your breath.
May you trust your rhythms.
May you stay close to your inner flame, especially in the holiday season and as we transition into a new year. ❄️🔥🧡
